The grandmother's other two sons had been killed back in Iraq before they fled to Turkey. The refugees are now faced with the struggles of cultural blending. The young children are loving the new culture, learning the new language easily, and are rather excided. Where as the the teenagers and the older parts of the family are having problems adjusting and learning the language. The father said that he was worried because if he doesnt speak the language he cant get a job, and if he cant get a job, he cant learn the language.

Anyhoo, this is rather saddening. These people went through soo much to get here..it would be nice if they could just be happy! but on the other hand they didnt expect this to be a piece of cake did they?

in the business world:
its becomming apparent that thousands of immigrant workers are "slipping through the cracks" because they're housekeepers, maids, and nannys. Some workers are being treated fairly, by getting paid fair salaries and are given rooms or homes to live in. The problem is that some of these workers are being treated poorly and they have no where/no one to turn to. They're being paid low wages, some forced to live in closets and some deal with sexual harassment. Not to mention the fact that they're not getting insurance like medicare or even social secrurity.

This article is kind of controvercial becaus of the fact that they're illegal imigrants, but yet all at the same time some are being treated like crap and they're basically saying that the government needs to do something about it....well hello? they shouldnt be here illigally in the first place then they could do something about it. And as far as Social Security & Medicare...well they dont pay into social security..and im suree they dont pay for insurance so what do they expect??? i found this lovely aritcle on MSNBC.com under the business section the link is below.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21567598/

in pollitical news:
Hillary Clinton is now playing the "gender card" to get votes especailly in states like Iowa where women are in power. A president of one of the companies stated in a press confrence " on the democratic debate i saw all men and hillary, a perfect match" or something of that sort. She's also visiting women's colleges and encouraging them to vote. Hoping that they will vote..

So once again, i cant get a picture OR video to upload to this thigy. its off CNN.com its called Sen. Clinton versus the boys...so eh. anyhoo...i think that Clinton's playing an unfair because of the simple fact that she's a girl and shes being "victimized" card.
bull crap!! she's just as bad as the guys.

Wildfires put pregnant women at risk
Wildfires put pregnant women at risk

In health news this week. Many health risks have been found for pregnant women who are in the California wildfire situation. Woment should not exercise outside, they breathe in the smoke and it cuts off some of the oxygen to the baby. Its suggested that the women stay indoors in the airconditioning and re-circulating air. This is also suggested for asmatic, and smaller children.

This is smart because well who would think about it being not good to exercise outside. To be all honest I probably wouldn't have thought twice about it.
